Lennart Niemelä is a graduate in Asian Studies from Lund Univeristy, Sweden, where his regional specialization was Southeast Asia. His master thesis was called "Walk! Framing a successful agrarian reform campaign in the Philippines" and received the Minor Field Study scholarship from Sida.
