    Karin Buhmann (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of legal science at the Institute of Food and Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen. She holds degrees in law and East Asian Studies from the University of Copenhagen and an additional Master’s degree in Public International Law/International Human Rights Law from the Raoul Wallenberg Institute at the University of Lund. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2001 from the Department of Law at the University of Aarhus on a thesis dealing with administrative law in China and Vietnam in a historic and contemporary context and the human rights potential of late 20th century reforms. In addition to human rights law and human rights in a development and law reform context, her research interests include Corporate Social Responsibility and human rights responsibilities of business in a context of globalisation of law, including developments in China. Karin Buhmann holds additional degrees (diplomas) in journalism and marketing. She was admitted to the Danish bar in 2002.
