Thailand: The terrorists that outsmarted the Government
In the most southern provinces of Thailand, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat, a violent conflict between Muslim insurgents and the Thai government has been going on for decades. The conflict has escalated after 2004 and the Thai government has responded to the terror acts by the insurgents by installing massive military troops. Anya Palm, freelance journalist based in Thailand, reports on the conflict in this week's In Focus blog.
