Dealing with Korea, South and North: A lesson for politicians from the business world
In this week’s In Focus blog Geir Helgesen, director at NIAS points out the different attitudes to cultural sensitivity in the business world and in the political sphere: In the business community there is a general awareness that cultural sensitivity is a comparative advantage and can make the difference between success and failure. While on the political arena there does not always seem to be the same willingness to truly understand the other party and their actions beyond the cross-cultural barriers.
