India is by far the world’s largest democracy. With an electoral body comprising of over 800 million constituents, the sheer magnitude of the process is daunting. However, the country has made significant progress in its efforts to ensure elections are free and fair.

ISDP is honored to invite you to a lecture with Dr. S.Y. Quraishi, the former Chief Electoral Commissioner of India. Dr. Quraishi will discuss the changes to India’s electoral process and the benefits they have offered as well as the hurdles that still lay ahead.
