The Faculty of Arts, University of Helsinki, invites applications for the position of a
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN INDIGENOUS SUSTAINABILITIES (HELSUS)
for a three-year fixed-term period starting on January 2, 2020.
The appointee will contribute to the development of HELSUS research agenda in the interdisciplinary field of indigenous studies and at same time be employed at the Faculty of Arts department for cultures.
An appointee to the position must hold a doctoral degree relevant to indigenous sustainability science (such as history, cultural studies, political science, language, international law or anthropology), as well as have the ability to conduct independent scientific research and possess the teaching skills required for the position. The candidate should have a proven capability to publish in scientific journals, have excellent analytical and methodological skills, and be able to work both independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary scientific community. They particularly appreciate applicants with a proven track record in multidisciplinary collaboration and an aptitude for methodological innovation.
