Conference: ICT for Development (ICT4D) in China: Digital divides, empowerment strategies, and development discourses

A conference organised by the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies, Lund University, in cooperation with the Institute of Journalism and Communication, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
The conference addresses issues of access, use, and significance of ICTs for social, political, economic, and legal empowerment and development in China. It discusses the strategies that different individuals, groups of people, and NGOs use to bridge divides and appropriate ICTs for empowerment and development.
