Copenhagen climate change seminar with former Maldives President Nasheed

Former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed will give a talk on ‘How can we build a carbon neutral world economy?’ at University of Copenhagen. Venue: Auditorium A2.70.04, University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Science, Thorvaldsensvej 40, building 2-70, Frederiksberg.

At the seminar, organized by the university’s Sustainability Science Centre, Mr. Nasheed will outline the alleged dangers climate change poses to his low-lying island nation, which stands just 1.5 meters above sea level, and explain that the world can choose to defeat climate change by building a carbon neutral global economy. He sets out the opportunities clean technologies can bring, and discusses how we can overcome the fossil fuel interests trying to prevent progress.
