Indian gender panel invited for the 2012 NFU conference in Oslo

The 2012 Norwegian Association for Development Research (NFU) annual conference will be held in Oslo 26–27 November 2012. The annual NFU conferences are the main arena for debate and academic interchange among development researchers in Norway.
The theme for the 2012 conference will be ”Development for a Finite Planet: Grassroots perspectives and responses to climate change, resource extraction and economic development”.
It is jointly organised by the Centre for International Climate and Environmental Research-Oslo (CICERO) and Noragric/Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
Proposals for Panels should be sent to the conference coordinator no later than the 31 August 2012.
Venue: Oslo Centre for Interdisciplinary Environmental and Social Research (CIENS), Forskningsparken, Gaustadalléen 21, Oslo.
As a part of the 2012 NFU conference, the Nordic Forum for South Asia (NoFSA) invites papers for a panel on ‘Transforming Gender in Contemporary India’. Papers focusing on the gendered aspects of the social, economic, political and cultural transformations occurring in contemporary India are welcome. More information (as a pdf file).
NoFSA has concrete plans to publish an edited volume based on the presentations and is particularly looking for contributions from scholars interested in being part of the said volume.
