Lund University Seminar on Gender and Development

A seminar on Gender and Development will be held Friday 20 September organised by the Research Environment on Sustainable Development/Department of Sociology and the Global Gender Matters Network/Department of Gender Studies at Lund University.
Two international guests will present a paper each related to the broader theme of gender and development, namely:Wendy Harcourt (pictured left), Senior Lecturer, International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, will present a draft paper called Revisiting ecofeminism: thoughts in progress. Naila Kabeer (pictured right), Professor of Development Studies, Schools of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, will present the draft paper Women’s economic empowerment and inclusive growth: labour markets and enterprise development. Please note that both speakers will deliver key note speeches at the Development Research Day which takes place the day before, Thursday 19 September.
