Managing Land Resources in Northern Afghanistan
Over the past two years, The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee has sent three geologists, one soil specialist and one specialist on forestry to Badakhshan. Their mission was to train local staff in reducing the risks and consequences of natural disasters, and to contribute to the improved management of natural resources in the province. What can be learned from their experiences? How can Norwegian expertise contribute to solving some of the many development challenges of rural Afghanistan?
