Have you met the new generation of Chinese suppliers? A view on how to meet your true prince
Lecture by Heidi Larsen, founder and managing director of Plus 7 and author of the book (easily?) MADE IN CHINA!
It is said that “you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your true prince”. But how does Danish SME’s find their true prince – their match – amongst the Chinese suppliers? Danish SME’s often struggle to make themselves attractive to the Chinese suppliers, and find it hard to make the supplier interested in their orders based on smaller volumes. Now, even bigger the surprise, Chinese suppliers might not take too much interest in even considerable orders. Have the Chinese factories become lazy? Or are Danish and Chinese people more alike than we think?
These questions, and others, will be put forward in a view on today’s challenges for SME’s when setting up their supply chain in China. What happens behind the scene, and how could we learn to find our true “Supply Chain Prince” in China? What could Danish SME’s do to make themselves attractive to the suppliers, and how could we make sure that the suppliers found have the right future intentions in our corporation? Such questions will be answered by Heidi Larsen, founder and managing director of Plus 7 and author of the book (easily?) MADE IN CHINA!
