Dr. Jan Vang is currently associate professor in globalization of technology at the Copenhagen Institute of Technology, Aalborg University, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He holds a PhD from Lund University and a M.Sc. and B.Sc. from University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on the evolution of the global division of labour in R&D/innovation. Theoretically, this is analyzed by combining insights from the literature on global business/strategy and innovation systems. Special attention is paid to Scandinavia and Asian countries and to the software and film/media industries. He is involved in several international research projects and conferences such as Globelics , Asialics , Dime, ESTO- ICT for Growth and Cohesion in a Global Knowledge-based Economy: Lessons from East Asian Growth Areas.
