    Member of NNC. The University of Jyväskylä is one of the largest and most popular multidisciplinary universities in Finland. Today we have over 16 000 degree students in seven faculties, and a staff of 2500. The faculties are: Humanities, Information Technology, Education, Sport and Health Sciences, Mathematics and Science, Social Sciences, Business and Economics. Natural sciences and mathematics, human-centred sciences, sport and health sciences and teacher education are the core fields of our research and education. The international dimension is emphasized in all activities. We conduct student and teacher exchange programmes with some 330 universities worldwide and participate in over 40 R&D projects funded by the EU or other international organizations. We are known for innovations in education and research, esp. in collaboration with business and commerce and with regional actors.
