Taiwan Scholarship, Huayu Scholarship, and Taiwan Fellowship now open for Applications

Huayu Language Enrichment Scholarship (HES)
The purpose of HES is to encourage international students to undertake Huayu courses in the Republic of China (Taiwan); in order to provide them with opportunities to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society, and to promote mutual understanding and interactions between Taiwan and the international community. Courses will include a two month summer term , along with short term classes, which may last 3, 6 or 9 months to a year respectively. The application is open for International students above the age of 18, who possess a high school diploma or above.

The Taiwan Scholarship Programme
The Taiwan scholarship program is made to cater for foreign students pursuing a BA, MA or doctoral degree in Taiwan. Applications is open to all foreign students.

The deadline for applications to both of the scholarships above will be March 31th, 2018.

The Taiwan Fellowship 
The Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, Asia-Pacific region and Chinese studies to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan. Applicants must be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.Online application period for the Taiwan fellowship will be from May 1 to June 30, 2018.
