The World Bank: Documents & Reports, previously known as World Development Sources (WDS), contains more than 14,000 World Bank documents which are made available to the public in order to better share the institution’s knowledge base and to implement the disclosure policy. Browsing or searching provides access to the documents in both text and downloadable .pdf format. Paper copies can be ordered from the InfoShop. Most documents are also available in depository libraries around the world (in Sweden: Uppsala – The Dag Hammarskjöld Library).
The types of documents you will find include:
* Country Economic & Sector Work: These provide in-depth background, strategic priorities, and direction for lending activities.
* Project Documents: When a loan is made, various documents are released to the public according to the stage in the project cycle.
