Bengalis in Denmark celebrate Rabindranath Tagore’s Nobel Prize

. To commemmorate 100 years of Tagore winning the Nobel Prize in Literature, the association organises a grand evening garlanded with famous works of the Bard. The main performer will be Dr. Ananda Gupta, Director and spearhead, FIA UK and Dakshinayan UK. Dr. Gupta has long been at the forefront of propagating Tagore’s work in the UK, and has produced several spectacular performances, including those at the BBC and the British Museum among others. With assistance from performers of Bengalis in Denmark, he will be presenting a unique multimedia performance depicting the journey of Gitanjali, which will be attended by H.E. Niraj Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Denmark as the Chief Guest. Entry for this evening is free for all, with no registration required.
SASNET deputy director Lars Eklund will also participate in the Copenhagen event.
Venue: Kulturhus Indre By, Charlotte Ammundsens Plads 3 in central Copenhagen.
