For twelve years, author and journalist Ina Strøm has traveled regularly to Japan. She comes to the Humanities and Social Sciences Library at the University of Oslo, Georg Sverdrups House, to talk about the adventurous archipelago, starting with the book “A Japanese Spring – traveling through an eternally astonishing land”.
The book from 2020 takes the reader on a journey that begins in the tropical south with an 85-year-old widow with five girlfriends, via pilgrimage, temple towns and smoky dents until we finally end up among fields, indigenous peoples and snowmelt in the north.
