We, the Nordic Institute for Asian Studies NIAS (University of Copenhagen, Denmark), the China in Europe Research Network – CHERN, and the Center for East Asian Studies CEAS (University of Turku, Finland) are organizing the first face to face CHERN Training school in Copenhagen. The training school will be held on the 28th and 29th of April, 2022.
Application deadline: 20 March 2022.
Training Schools are primarily (though not exclusively) aimed at Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) (< 40 years old). Being able to speak or read Chinese is not a requirement. Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of what computational methods are, but no prior coding skills are needed. The prerequisite is that you are familiar with the contents of the CHERN training webinar we held in November (video) and the 7-page introduction to computational methods in Chinese studies. During the Training School, we’ll use both Chinese and English datasets. Note that it is required that participants install the necessary software into their laptops in advance.
NOTE: Registration for onsite attendance is now closed
REGISTRATION FOR THE WEBINARS:
If you only want to attend the webinars, not the onsite training events, please register by filling out these zoom registration forms.
