Join for lively discussion of what’s possible in the standoff in Myanmar following the wrangling at the UN General Assembly over who represents the country: the junta that seized power in February or the representative of the democratically elected but ousted government. The panel will explore what options are available to actors in Myanmar and to external actors, and delve into the dynamics and challenges facing the junta and the National Unity Government.
The event is jointly organized by the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS), the New York Southeast Asia Network (NYSEAN) and the School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University.
