Online Workshop & Youth Dialogue “How to deal with China? EU- China relations in the light of the war in Ukraine”

16:00 to 18:30
(GMT+01:00) Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Paris
Online Event

Together with a large number of partners from politics and civil society, the non-party Europa-Union
Deutschland (German section of the Union of European Federalists) has been successfully organising
nationwide and cross-border citizens’ dialogues on current European policy issues since 2014. Under the
motto “Europe in the world – We need to talk!” we are holding two online events on European foreign policy in 2022, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

We would be very pleased to invite you to participate in one of our next online events. On Thursday, 30 June 2022, 6.00 to 7.30 p.m. (CEST), we will hold our online English-language Youth Dialogue “How to deal with China? EU-China relations in the light of the war in Ukraine”, to which we would like to cordially invite you.

In the run-up to the Youth Dialogue, there will also be an additional Workshop Session on Thursday, 30 June 2022, 4.00 to 5.00 p.m. (CEST), where students from across Europe will work together digitally on issues and demands related to EU-China relations. During the subsequent Youth Dialogue, selected students from the Workshop Session will have the opportunity to present their questions and demands to invited experts. With Dr Una Aleksandra Bērziņa-Čerenkova, Head of China Studies Center at Riga Stradins University, and Reinhard Bütikofer, MEP and Chair of the delegation for relations with the People’s Republic of China, we have already succeeded in attracting two high-profile guests.

If you are interested in participating in the Workshop and/or the Youth Dialogue, please register for the
respective parts of the event using the links below. Places for the Workshop are limited, so please only
