Provides access to databases and other resources for Nias Nordic Council Member institutions. NIAS – Nordic Institute of Asian Studies, or NIAS for short, is a university Institute for Asian studies of Copenhagen University in Denmark. The institute is located in Copenhagen and serve all five Nordic countries, comprising Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland

The schacHomeOrganization data contains an identifier of the home organization of the user.
The eduPersonTargetedID is your unique identifier as provided by your home organization.

Purpose of the processing of personal data

The IP and referrer addresses of all web page visitors are stored in web server log file for statistical purposes and for accountability.

For authenticated users, the schacHomeOrganization is used to determine which Institution the user is affiliated to. This is in turn used to grant access to resources specific to that institution.

EduPersonTargetedID is collected to distinguish betweens users for statistical purposes and to deny access in case of abuse.

Third parties to whom personal data is disclosed

No raw data will be released to third parties. Aggregated and anonymized data may be published for statistical purposes.

To rectify the data released by a Home Organisation, contact that Home Organisation’s IT helpdesk.

Data retention

Log files containing IP addresses, and Referrer, schacHomeorganization, EduPersonTargetedID and visited websites are kept for statistical purposes and for the purpose of taking appropriate actions in case of service abuse.

Personal data will be protected according to the GÉANT Data Protection Code of Conduct, a common standard for the research and higher education sector to protect the user’s privacy.
