The schacHomeOrganization data contains an identifier of the home organization of the user. |
Purpose of the processing of personal data | The IP and referrer addresses of all web page visitors are stored in web server log file for statistical purposes and for accountability.
For authenticated users, the schacHomeOrganization is used to determine which Institution the user is affiliated to. This is in turn used to grant access to resources specific to that institution. EduPersonTargetedID is collected to distinguish betweens users for statistical purposes and to deny access in case of abuse. |

Data retention | Log files containing IP addresses, and Referrer, schacHomeorganization, EduPersonTargetedID and visited websites are kept for statistical purposes and for the purpose of taking appropriate actions in case of service abuse. |
Data Protection Code of Conduct | Personal data will be protected according to the GÉANT Data Protection Code of Conduct, a common standard for the research and higher education sector to protect the user’s privacy. |
